Teektrue – PVC Synthetic Teak Material
PVC – choose the highest quality
Teektrue PVC synthetic teak is a popular alternative to real teak that has gained in popularity over the last 15 years. We have been involved with PVC synthetic teak since it all began. It is a very realistic alternative to natural teak with the PVC sanded to give a grained appearance. The best quality synthetic teak is undoubtedly 100% virgin PVC that provides the best weld security and durability. Such decks have proven to last many, many years longer than others that add a high proportion of cheaper packing ingredients to the PVC material usually making it lighter with larger colour variance in the material.
Cheaper quality materials have additives and fillers that reduce the weld strength and therefore reduce the decks lifespan. Beware as some of the best known brands do not necessarily use the best quality materials.
Teektrue PVC Synthetic Teak – Comparisons and Key Features
Teektrue is made in the UK by PVC extrusion specialists with many years of experience. The profiles have dovetails on the reverse side to increase the surface area to enable maximum adhesion to the deck and for the material to grip as flat as possible.
The linishing is medium grit at the factory but we sand the deck on the final finish so the customer can have a choice of texture prior to the panel being released to the fitter. The texture tends to slightly smooth over time and general use.
